In the midst of the mess (American politics, racial reconciliation, government institutions, etc.), Christ- followers are called to "rejoice and reform" {Matt Chandler}.
There's still a lot to rejoice in, even though there's much to reform. Joy can be experienced when happiness can't. Joy is a by-product of gratitude. We can be grateful for a gazillion things. Gratitude grants proper perspective. And, it's with proper perspective that reform can come. It's a grassroots kind of reform-the kind that starts with us being Jesus to others, shaping culture... Influencing the small to the big.

AuthorPassionate about Jesus and people, I've added this blog to communicate strategy and thoughts about Biblical Hospitality and The Church as a movement, rather than just people in a building once a week. It seems like everyone is blogging these days, (which is awesome!) and I know that there are always better and more insightful thoughts, but God is leading this so I'm just writing in obedience. |
